摘要:

Given a quantum state, is it entangled or not? In this talk, we discuss our approach to this question, the so-called polytope approximation. We address both the device-dependent and one-side-device-independent scenarios. For both scenarios, we show that the problem of quantum entanglement of a qudit with a qubit can be completely characterised with the proposed method. Restricted to the device-dependent scenario, the polytope can be adapted to the quantum state of interest, resulting in a very efficient algorithm to certify quantum separability of two or several qudits, which appears to be close to be optimal in the benchmark.

简历

Chau Nguyen completed his Bachelor in Physics in Hanoi, Vietnam. Then he joint the International Center for Theoretical Physics at Trieste, Italy, for the Diploma program. Having completed his diploma program in Condensed Matter Physics, he moved to University of Cologne, Germany, to work on his Ph.D. in Applications of Statistical Physics in Cancer Biology. He then started working on the physics of quantum systems when joining the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems in Dresden, and continues to work on this direction until now at University of Siegen. His research interest includes the characterisation of quantum correlations, scalability and error mitigation of quantum devices. He is also interested in quantum phenomena in the intersection of quantum optics and condensed matter physics.
