Teaching Center of Physics Experiment was established in 1999. In 2013, it passed the acceptance criteria of the Beijing-level Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center. Now it consists of the Mechanics Laboratory, Electromagnetics Laboratory, Optical Laboratory, Modern Physics Laboratory, Demonstration Physics Laboratory, and Innovation and Open Laboratory for college students. The existing teaching laboratory area of the center is about 3665 square meters, 1859 sets of instruments and equipment, 15.77 million RMB in fixed assets, and more than 160 experimental projects can be set up. The center currently has 13 staff, including 1 professor, 4 associate professors, 4 senior experimentalists and 4 experimentalists.

Teaching Center of Physics Experiment undertakes the teaching tasks of the experimental courses of more than 3000 engineering undergraduates and more than 80 applied physics students in each class of the university. It offers many experimental courses such as "general physics experiment", "university physics experiment", "physical scientific research training", "photoelectric professional experiment", covering the basic experimental courses of the junior grade to the innovative research experimental platform of the senior grade, and completes more than 220k class hours every year. The center has established an innovation practice base of "innovation and entrepreneurship dream factory", which supports students to participate in many experimental competitions such as the China Undergraduate Physics Tournament, the China Undergraduate Physics Experiment Competition, and the Undergraduate Physical Experiment Competition of Beijing. In recent years, the center has guided undergraduates to win 119 national, provincial and ministerial competition awards, and have published 64 papers as the first authors.

Teaching Center of Physics Experiment has been benchmarking the physics experiment courses first-tier in the world, and has carried out extensive and in-depth exchanges and cooperation with Australian National University, University of Technology Sydney and University of Southern California in physics experiment teaching.
